The student government of the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) in Manila demanded transparency and accountability from the TUP administration following the death of a student who fell from the fourth floor of the building on Friday.

In a statement, the TUP-USG Manila said the incident should not be treated as an isolated case but rather as "indicators of a deeper systemic problem that requires urgent and collective action.

"

Calling on the administration to "break its silence," the student government urged TUP officials to release a public, "truthful, and unfiltered" statement addressing the reported threats to student welfare. The USG also stressed that this was not a time for concealment or defensiveness, but a time to inform, assure, and take responsibility.

"We will not waver in our actions. As the representative of the student body, we stand in solidarity with our fellow students," the USG asserted, reiterating its commitment to student welfare and advocacy.
